Values Statement

The School of Global Languages, Literatures, and Cultures is dedicated to free and critical inquiry.  We support the importance of teaching, research, and service relating to multiple languages, literatures, and cultures, past and present; and we welcome students, faculty, researchers, staff, and institutional partners from locations throughout the world. The domestic and international members of our community are equally vital to the work and goals of the School. We are committed to maintaining a fearless and inclusive environment that supports an open and respectful exchange of ideas in the classroom, on campus, and on line. To that end, we do not tolerate threats, intimidation, harassment, vandalism, or violence directed at anyone in our community.

Die Schule der Globalen Sprachen, Literaturen und Kulturen bekennt sich zu freien und kritischen Studien. Wir unterstützen die Wichtigkeit von Lehre, Forschung und Service in Bezug auf mehrere Sprachen, Literaturen und Kulturen, wie diese sich sowohl in der Vergangenheit als auch in der Gegenwart gestalten; und wir begrüßen Studenten, Dozenten, Forscher, Mitarbeiter und institutionelle Partner aus der ganzen Welt. Die inländischen sowohl als auch die internationalen Mitglieder unserer Gemeinde tragen gleichermaßen der Arbeit und den Zielen der Schule bei. Wir sind verpflichtet, eine furchtlose und integrative Umgebung zu erhalten, die einen offenen und respektvollen Gedankenaustausch auf dem Campus und im Internet fördert. Zu diesem Zweck werden keine Bedrohungen, Einschüchterung, Belästigung, Vandalismus oder Gewalttätigkeiten toleriert, die auf Mitglieder unserer Gemeinde gerichtet sind.

La faculté de Langues, Littératures et Cultures Mondiales promeut la réflexion critique en toute liberté. Nous reconnaissons et encourageons l’importance de l’enseignement, de la recherche et de services liés aux multiples langues, littératures et cultures, passées et présentes. Nous accueillons des étudiants, professeurs, chercheurs, membres du personnel et partenaires institutionnels venant du monde entier. Chaque membre de notre communauté, qu’il soit Américain ou en provenance de l’étranger, joue un rôle essentiel au bon fonctionnement de notre faculté et à la réalisation de ses objectifs. Nous sommes engagés à maintenir un environnement intellectuel inclusif et sûr, en soutenant un échange d’idées ouvert et respectueux au sein de la salle de classe, sur le campus ainsi qu’en ligne. A cette fin, nous ne tolérons aucun acte de menace, d’intimidation, de harcèlement, de vandalisme ou de violence à l’égard de quiconque dans notre communauté.

La Facultad de Lenguas, Literaturas y Culturas Globales se dedica a la investigación libre y crítica. Afirmamos la importancia de la enseñanza, de la investigación y de los servicios relacionados con múltiples lenguas, literaturas y culturas, tanto del pasado como del presente; acogemos a estudiantes, profesores, investigadores, personal administrativo y socios institucionales provenientes de todas partes del mundo. Los integrantes nacionales e internacionales de nuestra comunidad dan un aporte vital a la labor y logro de los objetivos de esta Facultad. Nos comprometemos al resguardo de un ambiente que a nadie intimida y que a todos incluye, y que apoya el intercambio de ideas en forma respetuosa, bien sea en el aula, en el campo universidario, o en la red. Para lograr este objetivo, no toleramos ninguna amenaza, intimidación, acoso, hostigamiento, vandalismo, o acto de violencia dirigido contra cualquier persona integrante de nuestra comunidad.

Sosteniamo l'importanza dell'insegnamento, della ricerca e dei servizi in relazione a più lingue, letterature e culture, passate e presenti. Accogliamo studenti, docenti, ricercatori, personale e partner istituzionali provenienti da tutto il mondo. I membri nazionali e internazionali della nostra comunità sono vitali per il lavoro e il raggiungimento degli obiettivi della Scuola. Ci impegnamo per mantenere un ambiente privo di timori e aperto a tutti, che promuove l’interazione e il rispetto per le idee altrui in aula, nel campus e on-line. A tal fine, non tolleriamo minacce, intimidazioni, molestie, atti di vandalismo o violenza diretti ai membri della nostra comunità.

Os membros domésticos e internacionais da nossa comunidade são igualmente vitais ao trabalho e aos objetivos da Faculdade. Estamos comprometidos em manter um ambiente destemido e inclusivo que apoie um intercâmbio aberto e respeitoso de ideias na sala de aula, no campus e online. Com esse objetivo, não toleramos ameaças, intimidação, assédio, vandalismo nem violência direcionados a qualquer pessoa da nossa comunidade.

グローバル言語・文学・文化学部は自由な発想や批判的思考の探求を理念とします。多様な言語・文学・文化の教育や研究などの活動の大切さを認識し、支援するため、世界各国から学生、教員、研究者、スタッフ、教育機関を受け入れます。このように国内外から集まった人材は皆、本学部の活動と目標にとって重要な役割を果たします。人々が授業やキャンパス生活において、そしてネット上でも、オープンで互いを尊重した議論が行えるよう、本学部は恐れと疎外のない環境を整備します。したがって、脅迫、威圧、いやがらせ、破壊、暴力などの行為を決して許しません。

글로벌 언어, 문학, 문화 대학은 자유롭고 비판적인 학문적 탐구를 지향합니다. 다양한 언어와, 문학, 그리고 문화의 과거와 현재에 관련된 교육 및 연구, 서비스의 중요성을 인식하며, 전세계의 다양한 지역에서 온 학생, 교직원, 연구자 및 각종 여러 기관 파트너들을 환영합니다. 대학의 내국인 및 외국인 구성원들은 우리 대학의 사명과 목적을 성취하는 데 있어서 모두가 똑같이 필수적인 존재들입니다. 따라서 각 교실 및 캠퍼스, 그리고 온라인 상에서 열린 마음과 상대방에 대한 존중을 바탕으로 한 의견 교류가 가능하도록, 포용적이고 두렵지 않은 교육 환경을 조성할 것을 약속합니다. 그리고 그 목적을 성취하기 위해서, 어떤 대상을 향한 어떤 종류의 협박이나 위협, 괴롭힘, 기물파손, 폭력 등의 행위가 용납되지 않음을 명시하는 바입니다.
